This year’s CDISC conference in Milan was especially meaningful for me. It was my first time attending, and I had the privilege of presenting alongside Jason Weinstein from Regeneron, a long-time collaborator. It felt like a real milestone, reflecting both our shared journey and the strength of the partnership we’ve built.
Driving Change Through Collaboration: The Story Behind the Presentation
Jason Weinstein (Regeneron) & Dionne Manicom (Phlexglobal)
At the heart of our presentation, there was a simple but compelling question: how can we better support our team while improving the way we work? The drive to bring this forward stemmed from a clear and growing need: our teams were navigating increasing complexity and information demands. It became evident that we had an opportunity to rethink our approach and create a more sustainable, empowering way forward.
This wasn’t about introducing change for the sake of change. It was about listening, truly understanding the challenges our TMF Leads face every day, and translating those insights into meaningful, practical solutions. The goal was to reduce manual burden, improve clarity, and enable our teams to focus on what matters most: driving quality, delivering value, and strengthening their skills along the way.
From the earliest conversations through to shaping and refining the ideas, this has been a collective effort. TMF Leads, functional stakeholders, and leadership have all played an active role, bringing diverse perspectives, challenging assumptions, and co-creating solutions.
This ongoing collaboration has become one of our greatest strengths. It has fostered a culture of openness, shared ownership, and continuous improvement. Rather than operating in isolation, we are building stronger connections, aligning priorities, and moving forward together with a common purpose.
Ultimately, our presentation reflects more than a set of ideas - it represents a shift in mindset. By continuing to collaborate, challenge, and support one another, we are not only transforming processes but also strengthening our collective impact.
