The CTA Workshop, entitled The Whole Picture, is part of the Institute of Clinical Research's (ICR) Maximise Your Potential series and will be held at the institute's headquarters in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire on Friday, May 8. The day-long workshop will see delegates discussing the past, present and future role of the CTA, along with the career path, and the training and qualifications available to CTAs. In addition other industry specialist speakers will present on the future of clinical trials, the implications for CTAs, and a day in the life of a clinical trial subject. Nicola commented: "When I started my career in the pharmaceutical industry, I saw the need for the CTA role and worked with the ICR to define it more clearly and grow it in the industry. It has been very exciting to be able to influence the role and watch it evolve over the years.
